Getting
down to Umbertide is very easy:
By Car:
-If you are coming from the South: Highway A1 Firenze-Roma, exit
at Orte. Then take the E45 freeway heading towards Cesena. Exit
at ad Umbertide and get to the town Umbertide (about 4 km off
the exit).
-If you are coming from the North (1): Highway A14, exit at Cesena
Nord. Freeway E 45 heading towards Perugia-Roma. Exit at Umbertide,
then reach the town Umbertide (about 4 km off the exit).
- If you are coming from the North (2): Highway A1 Firenze-Roma,
exit at Valdichiana. Then follow the sign: raccordo Perugia-Bettolle.
Exit at Passignano sul Trasimeno and follow directions to Castel
Rigone-Preggio. At about 15 km from Castel Rigone, there is a
fork marked Preggio-Umbertide follow the directions to Umbertide.
By Train
Take the Fienze-Roma line: Get off the train at the Arezzo stop.
Take the bus to Citta' di Castello. The FCU Sansepolcro-Terni
line: in conection with the state train line, goes across the
Tevere river valley and offers you the possibility to stop at
